Wood and Wool Stool, o sea, Ingrid Jansen

Tenía muchas ganas de empezar a hablaros en detalle de mis artistas favoritos y me hace especial ilusión que la primera sea Ingrid Jansen porque es holandesa y yo nací en los Países Bajos, en Enkhuizen. Ingrid es la creadora y propietaria de Wood and Wool Stool, una empresa que nació de la idea de reciclar madera y lana para hacer un taburete para su casa. El resultado fue tan especial que comenzó a recibir encargos, por lo que decidió dedicarse a ello. Hoy es una reconocida diseñadora.

 

I was very eager to begin to speak in detail of my favorite artists and I’m really happy that the first one is Ingrid Jansen, because she is dutch and I was born in Enkhuizen, the Nederlands. Ingrid is the creator and owner of Wood and Wool Stool, a company that was born from the idea of recycled wood and wool to make a stool to his house. The result was so special that she began to receive orders, so she decidel to do so. Today is a renowned designed.

 

La base de sus diseños la componen el reciclaje de madera y el ganchillo, también con lanas recicladas. Se caracterizan fundamentalmente por su colorido, alegre, elegante y equilibrado, sin estridencias. Me recuerda los colores de su país, donde las flores, el verde de los paisajes, el azul de los canales y del mar y los propios holandeses luchan con los cielos encapotados. Un día soleado allí es perfecto.

 

The basis of their designs compose the recycling of wood and crochet, also with wool recycled. They are characterized primarily by its colors, cheerful, elegant and balanced, without exaggerations. It reminds me the color of her country, where the flowers, the green landscapes, the blue of the channels and the sea and dutch themselves struggle with the cloudy skyes. A sunny day there is perfect.

Aunque Ingrid comenzó haciendo taburetes ha ído ampliando su gama de productos: colchas, marcos, perchas, almohadones, guirnaldas y árboles de decoración, hechos exclusivamente con madera.

Wood and Wool Stool tiene su propia tienda en Dordrecht, Países Bajos, además de vender en Huiszwaluw, una tienda en Gante, Bélgica. También vende en su propia página web y en Etsy. Ingrid es especialmente conocida en los países del norte de Europa, pero no sólo allí. Como ejemplo, su casa aparece en un libro de decoración de interiores japonés.

 

Wood and Wool Stool has its own shop in Dordrecht, Netherlands, in addition it sell in Huiszwaluw, a shop in Gent, Belgium. Also sells on its own web site and in Etsy. Ingrid is especially known in the northern countries of Europe, but not only there. As an example, her house appears in a japanese interior decoration book.

En fin, su trabajo me parece estupendo: utiliza el reciclaje, hace un uso moderno del ganchillo y es muy original. Una delicia. Su blog también lo es, os lo aconsejo.
