As everything else, I started quilting by myself, so I have been stumbling constantly. In some occasions it was not a question of the result but of the work method. When you discover that there is an easier way for making things it is like taking air when coming out from under the water. That is why I convinced myself that I had to check my technique and to do so, the tutorials I have found on Internet have helped me so much.
Most of the tutorials are in English because, though patchwork has spread in Spain, it has a long tradition in USA and Australia that has not declined till now. Nonetheless the drawings, the pictures and the usual vocabulary make easy to understand the explanations.
One of the webs that I prefer is Sew, Mama, Sew! On this web section “Blankets and Quilts” you can find fantastic tutorials developed by experienced and well-known quilters. For example, here Sarah, from Hip To Piece Squares, explains how to quilt by hand, and here Jacquie Gering teaches how to join blocks. There are tutorials of all the essential quilting techniques, what is not usual to find, and also of concrete projects.

They are useful to me for seeing in practice concrete techniques that I have previously studied – the quilters are very good-. For example, this video shows very clearly how to make a Dresden plate.
If you look for a major level of difficulty to perfection your skills I reccomend you Block Party!, a web where several quilters post and explain complex techniques. Between them Ashley, from Film in the Fridge, where there are also very interesting tutorials.

But what abounds are explanations of concrete projects on different webs and blogs. Because of that the better is writing on the search engine what you want to make (a bag, for example) and navigate until finding a good tutorial with a model that you like.
