Como me las han encargado para regalar no sé las medidas de los móviles, así que utilizo una medida estandar de 13,5 cm x 8cm. Para ello corto la tela de delante (donde va el motivo) de 12,5 cm x 8cm; la de detrás de 15,5 cm x 8 cm y el forro interior de 28 cm x 8 cm.
As it’s an order I don’t know the mobile phones sizes, so I use a standard measure of 5,30 in x 3,15 in. So, I cut the fabric for the front (where motif goes) 5 in x 3,15 in; and the back 6,10 in x 3,15 in and the lining 11,00 in x 3,15 in.
En uno de los extremos del forro y de la parte delantera hay que marcar en las esquinas un triángulo rectángulo de dos centímetro de lado.
Draw a rectangular triangle with shorter sides of 0,80 inches on one of the lining and the front side ends.
Los motivos de las fundas son aplicaciones, así que tras dibujarlos, los he pasado a las telas y les he puesto con la plancha entretela adhesiva (se compra en mercerías).
Cover motifs are appliqués, so after drawing them, I’ve passed them to the fabrics and add adhesive interlining with the iron (it can be bought in notion stores).
A continuación, se va componiendo el motivo pegando las piezas en la tela con la plancha.
Then, the motif is composed sticking the pieces on the fabric with the iron.
Queda coser la aplicación a punto de festón y montar las piezas. Primero unimos la parte delantera con la trasera por abajo. Y después éstas con el forro, haciendo coincidir las esquinas con los triángulos dibujados. Ese lado no lo cosemos para darle la vuelta por ahí.
The work still to do is sewing the appliqué with blanket stitch and assemble the pieces. First join the front with the back from the bottom. And then, these with the lining, making the corners coincide with the drawn triangles. Don’t sew this side in order to turn inside out.
Ahora hay que plancharlo bien, especialmente el borde, doblando las esquinas por donde marcamos previamente. Y doblando por la unión de la parte delantera con la trasera.
Now it is necessary to iron it well, specially the edge, folding the corners where we marked before. And folding the front and back joint.
A continuación se pone el velcro, que he utilizado porque es rápido y cómodo, que es lo que se busca en una funda de móvil que se abre y se cierra muchas veces, pero podéis usar lo que prefiráis. Lo importante es que pongáis el velcro de la parte de delante cogiendo el forro porque se queda más fuerte y no se va a ver. Pero en la otra parte hay que coserlo sólo al forro.
Then, add the Velcro fastener, which I’ve used because it’s fast and easy, what is necessary on a mobile phone cover that is opened and closed often, but you can use what you prefer. What is important is that you must put the front section Velcro sewing the lining also because it results more steady and it can not be seen anyhow. But on the other section you must sew it only to the lining.
Y lo coséis en la dirección que veis en la foto, dando toda la vuelta a la funda.
