Como prometí, aquí tenéis las recetas que cociné con las calabazas en Halloween.

As I promised you, here you have the recipes of what I cooked with Halloween pumpkins.

Sopa de calabaza / Pumpkin soup

Ingredientes:
La carne de una calabaza
100 gr de panceta (bacon)
sal, pimienta y garam masala
1. Prepara el puré de calabaza cociendo su carne en trocitos, sin hebras ni pipas, en un poco de agua con sal. Cuando esté tierna se pasa por la batidora hasta obtener una textura suave.
2. Fríe la panceta a tacos en una sartén.
3. Vierte el puré en una cacerola y añade la panceta, sal, pimienta y garam masala (dos o tres cucharadas de café, a gusto). Si lo encuentras espeso puedes agregarle un poco de agua. Deja que cueza unos quince minutos para que coja sabor.

 

 

Ingredients:

The meat of a pumpkin
100 gr. bacon
Salt, pepper and garam masala

 1. Prepare the pumpkin puree cooking the meat in pieces, without threads or seeds, in a bit of water with salt. When tender transfer to the mixer and puree until obtaining a soft texture.

2. Fry the bacon on cubes in a frying pan.
3. Pour the puree in a saucepan and add the bacon, salt, pepper and garam masala (two or three teaspoons). If it results a bit thick you can add a bit of water. Let it cook approximately fifteen minutes to flavor.

 
 
Bizcocho de calabaza / Pumpkin sponge cake
Ingredientes:
275 gr. de puré de calabaza
100 gr. de mantequilla
150 gr. de azúcar blanca y 50 gr. de azúcar morena
2 huevos batidos
250 gr. de harina
1 sobre de levadura
1/2 cucharadita de nuez moscada, 1/2 cucharadita de canela y una pizca de sal
 
1. Cocina el puré de calabaza como en la receta anterior.
2. Precalienta el horno a 180º y prepara un molde de unos 20 cm. de diámetro, forrándolo con papel vegetal o untándolo con mantequilla.
3. Mezcla la harina con la levadura, canela, nuez moscada y sal.
4. En otro bol bate la mantequilla con el azúcar hasta obtener una textura cremosa. Añade los huevos uno a uno y a continuación la harina con lo demás, poco a poco y sin dejar de batirlo. Finalmente incorpora el puré de calabaza.
5. Vierte la mezcla en el molde y déjalo en el horno de 40 a 50 minutos.
6. Una vez lo saques del horno, puedes cubrir el bizcocho con una mezcla de 125 gr. de mantequilla derretida, 100 gr. de azúcar y una cucharada de limón. El contraste es delicioso.
 
Las magdalenas también las hice con esta receta.

 

 

Ingredients:

275 gr. pumpkin purée
100 gr. butter
150 gr. white sugar and 50 gr. brown sugar
2 eggs
250 gr. flour
1 package baking powder

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and a pinch of salt

 

1. Cook the pumpkin puree as in the previous recipe.

2. Preheat the oven to 356º and prepare a pan about 7/8 inches lining it with grease-proof paper or greasing it with butter.
3. Mix the flour with the baking powder, the cinnamon, the nutmeg and the salt.
4. In another bowl mix the butter with the sugar until obtaining a creamy texture. Add the eggs one by one and then the flour with the remaining ingredients, little by little and stirring constantly. Finally add the pumpkin puree.
5. Pour the mixture into the pan and bake it in the oven 40 to 50 minutes.
6. Once out of the oven, you can cover the sponge cake with a mixture of 125 gr. of melted butter, 100 gr. of sugar and a spoonful of lemon. The contrast is delicious.
