Este año os propongo unos cuadros de corazones como regalo de San Valentín. Podéis hacer la versión que más os guste, familiar (con hijos) o romántica (dos corazones).
This year I propose some pictures of hearts as a gift for Valentine’s Day. You can make the version you prefer, familiar (with children) or romantic (two hearts).
Necesitamos:
1.- Telas de algodón.
2.- Entretela fina para aplicaciones.
3.- Hilo para bordar.
4.- Un marco.
We need:
1.- Cotton fabrics.
2.- Fine interlining for appliques.
3.- Embroidery thread.
4.- A frame.

La técnica que vamos a emplear es la de las aplicaciones de patchwork, que podéis ver en detalle en mi tutorial. Primero recortamos los patrones de los corazones elegidos, los dibujamos en las telas y recortamos éstas dejando un pequeño margen.
The technique that we are going to use is the same as for the patchwork appliques, that you can see in details in my tutorial. First we cut the patterns of the chosen hearts out, draw them on the fabrics and cut them out leaving a small margin.
Después pegamos la entretela y recortamos las piezas, dejando margen en el borde de los corazones entrelazados que quedarán bajo la pieza central.
Then stick the interlining and cut the pieces out, leaving a margin on the edge of the intertwined hearts that will remain under the central piece.
A continuación, pegamos las piezas en la tela y cosemos los bordes a punto de festón.
Later, stick the pieces on the fabric and sew the edges with blanket stitch.
Finalmente, dibujamos los nombres o las iniciales en los corazones y los bordamos. Podéis utilizar el punto que os guste. Yo los he bordado a punto de tallo.
Finally, draw the names or the initials into the hearts and embroider them. You can use the stitch you prefer. I have embroidered them with stem stitch.
Para enmarcar el trabajo yo he aprovechado unos marcos que tenía. También podéis seguir el tutorial de The Floss Box, os ahorráis el marco y queda muy bien.
To frame the work I have used some frames I had. You may also follow the tutorial from The Floss Box, you save the frame and the result is great.
