El estilo vintage parece que no va a ser una moda pasajera, así que cada vez es más fácil encontrar patrones y prendas originales, blogs y páginas web dedicados al vintage, ropa y complementos de estilo retro,…  Hace tiempo que quería hablaros de mis sitios vintage preferidos.

 

Seems that vintage style it’s not going to be a passsing trend. It’s becoming easier to find patterns and original items, blogs and websites about vintage, retro style clothes and complements,…  I have wanted to tell you about my favorite vintage sites for a long time.

En cuanto a blogs, me gustan mucho Thompson Family, Vintage Sewalong, A Dress a day y  el blog de Amy Barickman. El primero se centra en la moda de los años sesenta y setenta, muy popera y colorista. Los demás tienden hacia los años cuarenta y cincuenta. En todos encontraréis tutoriales, consejos, libros, patrones y colecciones actuales de estilo vintage.

 

As for blogs, I like very much Thompson Family, Vintage Sewalong, A Dress a day and Amy Barickman’s blog. The first one fucoses on 1960’s and 1970’s fashion, very pop-like and colorful. The others tend to the 1940’s and 1950’s. In all of them you will find tutorials, tips, books, patterns and current collections about vintage style.

También sigo los blogs de dos creativas muy retro: el de Elsie Larson, A Beautiful Mess, y el blog de Rachel Denbow, Smile and Wave.

Hay dos páginas web donde encontrar la mejor inspiración vintage. Spinster’s Emporium tiene un blog muy interesante y una tienda online con gran variedad de productos (telas, kits de labores, papel de pared,…). La otra es Adore Vintage, su blog es fantástico y en su tienda en Etsy vende auténticos vintage. También en Dear Golden encontraréis prendas para soñar.

 

Aunque si hay una tienda que me vuelve loca es Timeless Vixen.

 

Though if there is a shop that turns me mad this is Timeless Vixen.

Pero lo divertido es hacerlo nosotros mismos. Las tiendas de referencia son por supuesto Vogue y Burda Style, pero hay muchas más.

 

But the funny thing is to make it ourselves. The reference shops are certainly Vogue and Burda Style, but there are many more.

Si queréis comprar revistas de patrones originales os aconsejo Past Patterns, Marquise, Old Patterns, costumes.org y Crack of Dawn Creations.

Pero resulta muy práctico y mucho más económico adquirir copias. Además, la transacción suele ser muy rápida porque el sistema habitual es que comprobado el pago, el vendedor envía copia en PDF por e-mail. Yo siempre acudo a Etsy, por ejemplo a Fishstique’s y a Tinpotlil, que vende patrones de punto.

 

But it’s very practical and much more affordable to buy copies. Besides, the transaction is usually very quick because the normal way is that, once verified payment, the seller sends copy on PDF format via e-mail. I always go to Etsy, for example to Fishstique’s and Tinpotlil, which sells knit patterns.

Finalmente, para comprar telas vintage Donna Flower tiene una cuidada colección que abarca del siglo XIX a los años ochenta del siglo XX.
