Un mes de junio muy craft

 

El mes de junio siempre es una locura en casa: tres cumpleaños y un aniversario en la familia, fin de curso del cole y de ballet,… Pero también es muy creativo y cada vez más, porque mi hija se hace mayor y empieza a hacer cosas sola.

 

June is always a bit crazy month at home: three birthdays and an anniversary within the family, end of school year and ballet… But it’s also very creative and increasingly more, because my daughter is older and so she begins to make things by herself.

Pero además, mientras yo acabo pedidos y coso lentejuelas en su tutú para el festival de Ballet (¡un tremendo aburrimiento!), ella ha hecho una piñata, una guirnalda y está a medias con unos adornos para la mesa.

 

But besides, while I finish the orders and sew sequins on her tutu for the ballet festival (a tremendous boredom!), she made a “piñata”, a garland and now she’s making some ornaments for the table.

Y después de un estupendo fin de semana en el que conocí a un montón de crafters en la Fireta d’Estiu y en The Pop Up Market, este sábado fuimos a celebrar el día de tejer en público, que aquí en Valencia se hizo en el Crea Corner del Corte Inglés, una gran idea dado el calor que hacía y que he visto que pasaron en otras ciudades. Ana estuvo enseñando a otra niña a tejer con las manos y mi hermana y yo disfrutamos charlando con otras tejedoras. Hasta mi sobrina se lo pasó en grande aplaudiendo cuando repartieron los premios del sorteo que habían organizado.

 

And after a great weekend when I met a lot of crafters at the Fireta d’Estiu and in The Pop Up Market, last Saturday we went to celebrate the knitting in plublic day, which in Valencia was at the Crea Corner of El Corte Inglés department stores. A great idea given the very hot weather. Ana enjoyed teaching another girl hand-knitting and my sister and I had a very good time chatting with other knitters. Even my niece had fun clapping when the prizes of the draw were given.

En fin, que estoy un poco ajetreada, pero muy feliz de estar pasando un mes tan craft. Y vosotras, ¿en qué andáis?

 

So, I’m really busy, but very happy to have such a craft month. And you, what are you working on these days?
