Tutorial: pompones de tul / Tutorial: tulle pompoms

 

Mi hija me pidió unos pompones para decorar su habitación al ver unos que yo había puesto en el blog. Eran pompones de papel, pero yo quería hacerlos con tul. Aún así el tul que tengo es muy rígido, por lo que después de pensarlo mucho los he hecho basándome en parte en la técnica de los pompones de papel. Os cuento.

 

My daughter asked me some pompoms to decorate her bedroom when she saw some I put on the blog. They were paper pompoms, but I wanted to make them with tulle. But the tulle I have is very rigid so, after thinking long I have based partly on the technique used for paper pompoms. I tell you how I did.

1– Para cada pompón cortamos ocho cuadrados de tul de 25 cm. x 25 cm. Como es difícil marcar en el tul, lo he puesto sobre la base de corte para recortarlo. Si no tenéis, lo mejor para dibujar sobre tul es la tiza.

 

1- For every pompom cut eight squares of tulle 9.8’’ x 9.8’’. As it is difficult to mark in the tulle, I placed it on cutting mat to cut it. If you don’t have any, the best thing to draw on tulle is chalk.

2– Después doblad cada cuadrado en acordeón, sujetándolo con alfileres.

 

2- Then, make accordion folds, holding it with pins.

3– A continuación, colocamos las piezas juntas en distintos ángulos y las cosemos por el centro.

 

3- Later, place together the pieces at different angles and sew over the center.

4– Ya los tenemos, sólo nos queda colgarlos. Yo he utilizado hilo invisible, de pesca, pasándolo por el centro del pompón con una aguja y haciendo un nudo.

 

4- And it’s ready, just have to hang them. I used an invisible thread, fishing line, pushing it through the center of the pompom with a needle and making a knot.
