Tutorial: estuche enrollable / Tutorial: rolling pencil

A few weeks ago I published the tutorial of a hook holder (here), that had a crocheted outside and the inside of fabric. So today I bring you something similar, a rolling pencil case but totally made of fabric.

1- I used two different fabrics, but you can make it as you like. Cut the following pieces: two 16.4’’ x 8.6’’ rectangles, two 12.5’’ x 3.9’’ rectangles and a 8.6’’ x 3.9’’ rectangle.

Sew both right sides of the big rectangles leaving an unstitiched part we will use to turn the inside out. Then iron it.

2- Cut two pieces 11.7’’ x 0.8’’ and sew two strips.

3- Make a cut in the middle of the 8.6’’ x 3.9’’ rectangle and place there a zipper. Then sew it to the bigger piece, as in the picture, placing the strips.

4- Join the 12.5’’ x 3.9’’ rectangles, as you have done with the bigger ones, and sew them to the case, as in the photo. Next, make marks every 0.8’’ and sew in order to make the “pockets” where the pencils will go.

¡Terminado! ¿A qué queda bonito?

Ready! It’s nice, isn’t it?
