Let’s prepare back school with a new case.
Necesitamos telas y una cremallera.
We need fabrics and a zipper.
1– Como veis, el estuche tiene un bolsillo. Yo he hecho cada lado con una tela y para el bolsillo he elegido poner la tela roja en el lado en que está la azul. La tela marrón es la del forro. El estuche mide 25 cm.. x 16 cm. y el bolsillo 10 cm. x 8 cm., así que cortamos: cuatro piezas de 25 cm.. x 16 cm., dos de ellas para el forro; y dos piezas de 10 cm. x 8 cm. para el bolsillo, una de ellas de forro.
1- As you can see, the case has a pocket. I have made each side with a different fabric and I have chosen the red fabric for the pocket and put it on the blue side. The brown fabric is for the lining. The case measures 9.3’’ x 6’’. And the pocket 4’’ x 3’’, so cut: four pieces of 9.3’’ x 6’’, two of them for the lining; and two pieces of 4’’ x 3’’ for the pocket, one of them of lining.

3– Para hacer el bolsillo encaramos las dos piezas que hemos cortado, las cosemos dejando un hueco por el que le damos la vuelta, planchamos bien y lo cosemos a la pieza de tela correspondiente.
3- To make the pocket, face both pieces previously cut, sew them leaving an unstitched part to turn the inside out, iron and sew it to the corresponding piece of fabric.
4– Finalmente cosemos la cremallera encarando cada pieza exterior a una de forro y cosiéndolas juntas a la cremallera. Después cosemos, dejando la cremallera abierta y también encaradas, las piezas exteriores y las piezas del forro, dejando en éstas un hueco para volver el estuche del derecho.
4- Finally sew the zipper facing every outside piece to one of lining and sewing them together to the zipper. Then sew, leaving the zipper opened and also faced, the outside pieces and the pieces of the lining, leaving in these a hole to turn the right side out.
Y para terminar, volvemos a coser las telas a la cremallera, ya vuelto del derecho el estuchey cosido a punto escondido el hueco que habíamos dejado.
And to end, sew the fabrics to the zipper again, once turned the case the right out and closed the unstitched part using hidden stitch.
