¡Por fin tengo mi cactus alfiletero! Hace mucho tiempo que quería hacerlo.
Finally I have my cactus pincushion! I’ve wanted to do it for a long time.
Necesitamos lana verde, agujas de doble punta, floca y una maceta pequeña.
We need green yarn, double pointed needles, polyester filling and a small flowerpot.
Podéis emplear la lana y las agujas que queráis. Yo he utilizado la lana Éxito de Lanas Stop, que es para agujas del 4-5, y agujas de doble punta del 4,5.
You can use the yarn and the needles you prefer. I have used the yarn called Éxito from Lanas Stop, which is suitable for needles size 4-5 (6-8), and double pointed needles size 4.5 (7).
1– Lo primero es tejer el cactus, claro. Montamos 27 puntos, que repartimos en tres agujas, dejando una vaga de unos 20 cm. El patrón es: 1 punto al derecho, 2 puntos del revés. Tantas vueltas como queramos que quede de largo el cactus. El mío mide 13,5 cm. y he tejido 34 vueltas.
1- The first thing of course is to knit the cactus.
Cast on 27 stitches, distributed into three needles, leaving a approximately 20 cm of thread.
The pattern is: 1 knit, 2 purl. As many rounds as the length we want for the cactus. My cactus measures 5.3” and I have knitted 34 rounds.
2– Cerramos los puntos y le damos la vuelta para coser la parte de arriba, cerrando el hueco. Volvemos a darle la vuelta y rellenamos con floca.
2- Cast off and turn the inside out to knit the upper side, closing the space. Turn the inside out again and fill with polyester filling.
3– Por otro lado, he pintado la maceta. No es necesario, pero me parece que queda más bonito.
3- On the other hand, I have painted the fowerpot. It is not necessary, but I think it looks nicer.
4– Como base del cactus he dibujado en tela marrón un círculo que encaje en la maceta y lo he rellenado con guata.

5– Cosemos el cactus a la base, rellenamos con papel la maceta y colocamos encima el cactus.
