Estoy haciendo acericos o alfileteros individuales para The Crafty Room porque cuando las alumnas están con las máquinas de coser necesitan tener uno para cada una. Quiero que sean un poco originales, así que el primero tiene forma de cometa.
I am making individual pincushions for The CraftyRoom because when the pupils are using the sewing machines, they need to have one for each. I want they to be a bit original, so the first one is shaped as a kite.
Necesitamos telas, floca para rellenar, un trozo de cuerda y fieltro.
We need fabrics, poly filling, a rope string and some felt.
1- Dibujamos la cometa en las telas dos veces, una por cada lado. Podéis descargar mi plantilla aquí. En la tela de arriba marcamos las líneas interiores, por las que bordamos un pespunte.
1- Draw the kite on the fabrics twice, one on each side. You may download my templatehere. Draw and embroider the inside lines on the top fabric.
2- Por otro lado, cortamos rectángulos de fieltro y los cosemos a la cuerda dándole forma de lazos.
2- On the other hand, cut felt triangles and sew to the string as bows.
3- Ponemos las telas encaradas, colocando la cuerda como en las fotos. Cosemos el borde, dejando dentro la cuerda y un hueco para dar la vuelta a la cometa y rellenarla con floca, que para terminar cosemos a punto escondido.
3- Put both sides of the kite faced, placing the rope as in the photos.Sew the edge, with the rope inside, leaving an unstitched part to turn next the inside out and to fill with poly filling. Close using hidden stitich.
