El punto de espiga o de escapulario es un punto de borde o cenefa.

Herringbone stitch is a border and an edging stich.

Saca la aguja por A, en la línea inferior. Haz una puntada en diagonal hasta la línea superior. Entra por B y salir por C, dando una puntada corta por el revés. Haz una puntada en diagonal hacia la derecha  hasta la línea inferior, entrando por D y saliendo por E.

Bring the needle out at A, on the bottom guideline. Take a diagonal stitch to the top guideline. Insert the needle at B and bring it out a short stitch back at C. Take a diagonal stitch in the opposite direction along the bottom guideline, inserting the needle at D and corning out at E.
