A partir de este mes dejamos los bloques tradicionales para hacer bloques de patchwork moderno. Espero que os gusten.
From this month I give traditional blocks up and make modern patchwork blocks. I hope you like them.
Antes de empezar sólo unas indicaciones:
1. Voy a hacer los bloques de 20 cm. x 20 cm. A partir de esa medida os daré las de las piezas que componen cada bloque. Podéis cambiarlas en proporción.
2. El fin no es hacer un quilt en concreto, pero si os planteáis confeccionar con vuestros bloques una colcha o cualquier otra cosa que os apetezca tened en cuenta las telas que vais a emplear para que combinen.
3. Elegid las telas que queráis, pero os aconsejamos que sean 100% algodón. Si utilizáis retales, tratad de que los tejidos sean similares y en ningún caso elásticos.
4. Podéis coser a mano o a máquina. Yo prefiero la máquina, pero si no tenéis no hay problema. Utilizad el punto atrás.

Before beginning, just a few comments:
1. I will make 7.8” x 7.8” blocks. From these, I will give you the size of the component pieces of every block. You can change them but maintaing proportions.
2. The purpose is not to make a concrete quilt, but if your idea is to make a quilt or any other thing with your blocks, you should take into account the
fabrics you use so that they match.

3. Choose the fabrics you prefer, but we reccomend you that they be 100 % cotton. If you use remnants, textures should be similar and never elastic.
4. You can sew by hand or use a sewing machine. I prefer the sewing machine, but if you do not have one, no problem. Use back stitch.
